How to weld properly


You know too well that the TIG welding requires skills and knowledge to produce such flawless welding project. If you wanted to master this certain kind of welding processes, here are some beginner tips that you should always keep in mind.

In TIG welding, make sure that you know how to handle the gun properly before you just start on welding. Your one hand should be resting on the barrel of the gun while the other hand should be the one to support you on the table and the one operating on the trigger of the gun. Make sure that you are comfortable with your position so that you will be able to keep it that way to reduce some flaws. You could also adjust the posture now and then so that it will come out naturally in you.

Preparing the metal
You could use a carbide scribe in TIG welding when it comes to marking a line on the metal and you can finally cut it using a hacksaw. If the metal is a little bit thicker, then you can consider cleaning it first using a degreaser so that it will not be that hard for you when it comes to cutting the metal. It could consume your time, therefore, you have to make sure that the metal is prepared before you start on cutting and welding.

Positioning the pieces
Make sure that you know how to position the pieces before you start on welding. In clamping the mitered surfaces, you should make sure that you have enough space wherein you can fill in the tack weld. Lie the pieces flat on the working surface and get rid of the metal burr that could interfere you while you are working
